Transparent government, lower taxes, individual rights
Josh grew up in the house of a career police officer. His father served 30 years, received a national Top Cop award, and was the department liaison with federal investigators to solve the killings of six Kansas City firefighters.
Josh rode with police on duty as an observer and flew with the police helicopter unit in Kansas City.
Josh's sister followed his father's footsteps into policing. Josh counts firefighters, a nurse, and emergency medical technicians among his immediate family (in Missouri, Ohio, and Florida).
You can see photos of Josh's immediate family in action below.
Josh Ludwig supports all first responders and knows the sacrifices their families make first-hand.
Josh has spoken to the Frederick County Sherideputies and firefighters about the shortcomings of the county emergency radio system. He supports the acquisition of a new system consistent with the Technical Assessment that has been completed.
Josh believes the county should provide support to the volunteer stations we depend upon for our fire and ambulance services. County financial support to these volunteers is a smart financial investment, as county-owned and staffed stations would be far more expensive. Josh's opponent cast the deciding vote to deny support this year in the form of covering Property and Casualty Insurance costs.
